Innovative Services: "Lose The Training Wheels"

Marshall University's School of Kinesiology is hosting a Lose The Training Wheels camp at Huntington High School, Huntington, WV, from July 18 through July 22, 2011.

Trained staff use adapted bicycles and a specialized instructional program to enable individuals with disabilities to learn to ride a two-wheeled bike. The program is designed for individuals 8 years of age or older, who have been diagnosed with a developmental disorder such as autism, but who can walk without assistive devices.

ASWV Fall Conference: Save The Date!

The Autism Society of West Virginia will hold its Annual Conference at the Bridgeport Conference Center, Bridgeport, WV on September 16-17, 2011. Topics such as Applied Behavior Analysis, Behavior Interventions, Transitions and information about West Virginia service and support organizations will be included in presentations.
